J0en'S 18th

this post should have been made 3 days earlier. but i was attacked by some sort of disease.... uhmmm.... what do you call it? LAZYphemircshuyiac?... i dunno... i forgot... naah.. my sister's been crazy doing all her project this week... ohh, lemme correct that...projects.. her projects...

anyway. this post is about how i very much appreciated joan's 18th birthday party. joan has been a good friend. she had never been angry... well, actually, i've never seen her getting angry... she has good friends. very witty. very clever. clever, in a sense that she knows how to react on things.

what more do i applaud about joen? well, here are some views...
  • she is very good good in computers
  • she has a mature voice (for a little girl...if u know whait i mean...hahaha)... and i like that
  • she's cute.... but her best friend is WAY cuter (get it?)
  • she has muscles... really!... her skin is hard... hahaha
  • she lost many cellphones and she buys again another phone the next day or two...
  • what more? uhmmmm...
  • she...uhmmm... she's persistent in her studies
  • she's God-fearing! that's the attitude that i like very much about her
  • nothing more to say..

joen's debut last friday, 5/19/07, was very cool! she had this apple green and orange theme. i was kinda sceptical about what i will see... but it was good. there was a nice finesse. and the atmosphere was awesome... her family, classmates, and friends were there for her. and the food? i couldn't say anything more...

the program was also amazing... especially the intermission part... when joey and the gang did all sorts of hilarious things up front... that made the night...

and have i already mentioned the girls? what about them? well, there is only one thing that i can say... the girls, especially the CE girls, were breathtakingly gorgeous, alluring and just simply splendid that night... actually, i've known from the start that our girl friends are bewitching but i didn't know that with just a little additions, wonderful additions, they can be sooooooo angelic... just beautiful... yeah... they are...

and she has a very ravishing cousin!!! and all eyes,, all boys' eyes actually, were on her.

SAVE YOURSELF!

"Then I will say to myself, Lucky man! You have all the good things you need for many years. Take life easy, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!" But God said to him, "You fool! This very night you wil have to give up your life; then who will get all these things you have kept for yourself?" Luke 12: 19-20

Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God. Heb 9: 27

All of us have been sinful; even our best actions are filthy through and through. Because of our sins we are like leaves that wither and are blown by the wind. Is 64: 6

Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear His voice and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned. Jn 5: 28-29

As the scriptures say: "There is no one who is righteous, no one who is wise or who worships God." Ro 3: 10

And I saw the dead, great and small alike, standing before the throne. Books were opened, and then another book was opened, the book of the living. The dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. Rev 20: 12

Whatever is hidden away will be brought out into the open, and whatever is covered up will be uncovered. Mk 4:22

You can be sure that on Judgment Day you will have to give acount of every useless word that you have ever spoken. Mt 12: 36

But now I tell you: anyone who looks at a woman and wants to possess her is guilty of committing adultery with her in his heart. Mt 5: 28

So do not be afraid of people. whatever is now covered will be uncovered, and every secret will be made known. Mt 10: 26

Do not decieve yourselves; no one makes a fool out of God. You will reap exactly what you plant. Gal 6: 7

Those who did not have their name written in the book of the living were thrown into the lake of fire. Rev 20: 15

IS THIS THE LIFE THAT YOU ARE LIVING NOW?

The Lord is not slow to do what He has promised, as some think. Instead, He is patient with you, because He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins. 2 Pt 3: 9

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-- you and your family. Ac 16: 31

The Lord says, " Now, let's settle the matter. You are stained red with sin, but I will wash you as clean as snow. Although your stains are deep red, you will be as white as wool." Is 1: 18

For what is life? To me, it is Christ. Death, then, will bring more. Phil 1: 21

How painful it is to the Lord when one of his people dies! Ps 116: 15

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN!

For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not die but have eternal life. Jn 3: 16

If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from death, you will be saved. Ro 10: 9

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me." Jn 14: 16

So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we reap the harvest. Gal 6: 9

Playoffs 2007

As of 3:40 PM this day, the results are as follows:
  • Utah Jazz won the series today over the Golden State Warriors;4-1
  • Spurs and Suns tie it up at 2 games apiece
  • Pistons almost won it at home but the Bulls denied them in Game 5 of the series; 3-2
  • The Cavaliers look to close the series out at home tomorrow at home over the Nets; 3-1

The playoffs are really getting exciting; from round 1 up until the recent results.

The 8th seeded Warriors beat the top seeded Mavericks in round 1. Now, that was oh too unexpecting. The number 1 team in the NBA got beat by an 8th seeded, a very surprising feat.

Lakers were pounded by the fast paced Suns. I like both teams so if either won, it's really okay.

The Nuggets and the Raptors were the only team that held ground. They almost beat the top teams of their division: Spurs and Nets respectively.

Rockets became dumb. They had almost won Game 7 over the Jazz if it weren't for their stupidity. They had 7 seconds to maybe win or tie the game by causing a foul. But they didn't do it until 1+ second was left. How stupid. I liked Tmac. He's my idol.

The 2006 NBA champions, Heat, was tramped by the Bulls. A very tragic, yet expected event. The Heat was troubled by injuries. Both their superstars got injured before the playoffs. And they weren't 100% on their game. Sad...

Pistons sweeped the Magic. Not surprising.

The Cavaliers also sweeped the Wizards. Of course, Arenas was injured. It was, sort of, unfair for the Wizards.

Nowitzki became the first European to win an MVP award. It was announced, no, I saw the announcement during game 3 of Jazz and Warriors.

Everything's doing well, except for the suspension given to Stoudemire and Diaw of the Suns. Horry did the bad thing and yet two of the Suns' players gets a suspension. Not mentioning that Amare is their leading rebounder and scorer, and Boris is his substitute. SO UNFAIR! Hold your ground Suns! You can do it! Kick the Spurs' butts!

Smallville Saga

  • Cyborg's name is Victor.
  • Aquaman's is AC (I forgot what those initials mean... Arthur C? I guess).
  • I recently realized that Lionel was protecting Clark from Lex.

One episode from season 4, no, from season 5, nah... it was one from those seasons that Lionel and Clark had changed bodies. Lionel was dying beacase of a kidney infection from a stab. He got a black kryptonite in hand and unintentionally touched Clark (well, i think that's what happened). They changed bodies: Clark (or Lionel) was already abusing his superhuman abilities while Lionel (or Clark) was locked up in jail. Eventually, the bodies went back to where they belong and Lionel began to change his perspecive in life. His disease was actually healed during the exchange of bodies (you know Kalel's ability, don't you?). And he began protecting Clark... from Lex, that is.
When Lionel starts to speak, I hang on to every word that he says. Ya know why? He has a remarkable way of arranging his vocabulary and has an astounding manner of speaking those unusual words.
  • Lionel, by the way, is Lex's father.
  • Lex wasn't able to inherent his father's uncanny intellect.
  • Lex, rather, had surpassed his father's intellect.
  • Their difference: Lex is so becoming coldhearted and greedy for power; Lionel, after the exchange, became soft-hearted and got over all greed, well, not all but most...

Smallville Saga

Smallville is really getting exciting, especially with this new season: season 6. New enemies, new allies, new mission.

I haven't been following the past seasons since it wasn't able to fit my schedule. I have early classes and a bulk of assignments. Anyway, I'm starting to stay tuned to it this summer. And a lot has happened. It turns out that a league will be made - The Justice League. There are still a few members: Impulse (or Bart Allen commonly named as Flash), Green Arrow (or Oliver queen), Boyscout (they don't know what to call Clark yet), Aquaman, Cyborg, and Marsian Manhunter. Batman will also be there (I think!).

It really gets exciting from now on. I'll be stuck on following the series.

Here's the theme song of Smallville.

Remy Zero
Save Me
OST- Smallville

I feel my wings have broken
In your hands
I feel the words unspoken
Inside
When they pull you under
And I would give you any thing you want
You were all I wanted
All my dreams are falling down
Crawling round and round and round

Somebody save me
Let your waters break right through
Somebody save me
I don't care how you do it
Just save, save
Come on
I've been waiting for you

I see the world has folded in your heart
I feel the waves crash down inside
And they pull me under
And I would give you anything you want
You were all I wanted
All my dreams have fallen down
Crawling round and round and round

Somebody save me
Let your waters break right through
Somebody save me
I don't care how you do it
Just save, save
Come on
I've been waiting for you

All my dreams are on the ground
Crawling' round and round and round

Somebody save me
Let your waters break right through
Somebody save me
I don't' care how you do it
Just save me, save me
I've made this whole world shine for you
Just save, save
Come on
I'm still waiting for you

Healthy Lifestyle

By the time I entered highschool, I was almost so close to being fit. I play almost all kinds of sport during summer at that perio d. Basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis, cycling, and takyan are just some of the activitites that I did. I was encouraged to play like an animal since I was transferring schools. This time, it's co-ed.

A teacher once said, "First impressions are always wrong". Indeed thay are. But at the same time, "First impressions last". I was very conscious of my fitness because there will be a great change in the school atmosphere, especially for me, who finished gradeschool in a boys' school. I was, sort of, ignorant about having girls as classmates. I kept on thinking about what they're thinking. About their thoughts about boys, about beauty, about body, and everything under the sun.

In time, I was able to adjust about those things that creeps me out. I was shy, of course, I'm just a growing boy! It took a while but nevertheless, I had adjusted. I kept my shape for about three years until an accident happend one summer day of 2004. I dislocated my left wrist because of dela Hoya. No! It's not what you think.

We were in Bicol that time and I was assigned (as I always did and always will) to wash the dishes. My father's office had no sink so I had to do it in the bathroom. The bathroom was all slippery beacause of the oil. I was carrying the skillet while going in but my eyes were tuned in to dela Hoya's fight. I did'nt watch where I was stepping and then BOOM! I slipped and the rest is history.

I bloated after that accident. Even my friends noticed it.

Two weeks after the cast was taken, I resumed to playing basketball in school taking no attention of my doctor's warning. Actually, I became very good and my left hand was always in my pocket. Basketball has always been my remedy to staying fit until one fateful September day of 2006. I, again, met an accident. I broke my left knee! Waaaaaa! I thought I was gonna die after that.

I was playing basketball that time. We had our CE league. I got the ball and signaled my teammates for a play. I crossovered, ran, jumped, passed the ball, then crack. A very loud crack that I thought it's my end. I get really scared everytime I bethink that sound.

I bloated again!

Three months after the cast was taken, I was back to the old me. The old physical me. I asked my mom to enroll me to a fitness gym. Here I am today trying to sweat THESE things out. Hoping to be back to the shape I wanted. I'm also trying to shape up these muscles. hehehe

I entered 2nd year college with a 145-lb handbag. I finished 2nd year, 170 lbs. WOW! Isn't that a development? Hmmmm..

Abode

From PC Hills Lahug to Brgy San Jose, Talamban to Capitol Hills, Lahug. We've been transferring houses in order to get the best comforts life could offer. Well, actually, it depends on the comfort of being near the mall, church, and school.

Life in PC Hills was the best. Everything was complete. The chapel was a just a few blocks away. The tennis court was only 50 yards from the house; and beside the tennis court was a half basketball court and a table tennis court. The mall was just 15 mins (on a private vehicle, of course) away from our doorstep. I wished, for a time, that we would live there forever. Having the most of life there was the best. I even remember one summer time when me and my childhood friend, Jan Mari, played basketball at 5 am. After which, I play tennis with my neighbors. And in the afternoon, table tennis. It was awesome, especially for a very sporty person.

Everything changed when my Pops was destined to some other place than Cebu. Police officials have the privilege to live in PC Hills provided that they are destined in Cebu. I was heartbroken when I heard the news. We were given 4 months (I think!) to evacuate. My dear mom prayed to the miraculous Sto Niño ever since to give us a house just enough for us. And then..... We were given the house in Brgy San Jose in Talamban. I was studying in UP back then.

Life didn't change back there since there were also comforts. A nice and amicable surrounding gave a noisy soul peace. There was also a basketball court-- street style. Most of the neighbors were teachers from CIC Cebu. I've learned that they were also given that privilege. Only one thing broke our heart there- the distance. It was very far from our schools, the church and mall. The fare kills and the early morning chills can make the day bad. My mom, again, fervently prayed to our dear Sto Niño. And we were given the lot where I'm writing this blog right now.

The place is called Capitol Hills here in Lahug. It fronts the BSP Camp and a rocky road. My parents worked hard to build this house. Sacrificing my Pops' salary due to loans. Now I have a lucky Php50 for my allowance. The folks down here are nice; very hospitable and very chismosa. So many characters entered my life and here are more others. We're over a year now and life is getting better. The comforts are near, too: he church, mall, and school (for my siblings though, I now study in USC - TC). And the fare? Much bigger. FYI: habal habal costs Php15 going up and Php10 going down.

Water here also costs much. No, I don't mean money. It costs too much time and effort. Since this place is quite high, water supply couldn’t be reached by the MCWD. I don’t know the freaking reason why but that's a fact.

God gave us this place, we should be thankful. God has a plan, we just have to wait.
