Father's Day

Tomorrow is FATHER'S DAY.

I'd like to greet all the blessed fathers in the world. I hope and I pray that they continue to do all the good things to their family, friends, and all the people around them; that they keep on inspiring their kids, and; that thay go on appreciating God for all the wonderful things thay had and will recieve in the future. God bless you all dads!

We all proclaim that our dads are the best dads in the world. And yes, they are. They may not be perfect and they may not have given us all the things we wanted but still, we thank them for being there with us through ups and downs.

Not every dad wanted to give us the lives we have now; they wanted more than this. They want to give the best there could ever be but as hard as they could, this life we have now are all that they can give. Some dads work overtime just to pay the tuition fees. Some dads work far from there families for them to eat 3 meals a day. And some dads work 2 or more jobs so that the family can survive each passing day. They sacrifice so much in order for us to live a happy life. And yet, they are only given one day to celebrate their lives being a dad.
We love our dads so much and so, we should thank them from the bottom of our hearts for all the awesome things they've given us.

We should also do our best to please our dads because without us, our dads wouldn't have enough strength to go on with their works and their lives. They get energy from their families and when the family is broken apart, our dads weaken. They will not be able to think properly and they will be distracted in their work. Let's not make this happen. We should also show our best to our dads. He is our strength and we are his.

Our future depends on him.

We love you dads.

I love you dad.

Latest Craze: Golf

Golf sucks! for beginners though.

My dad learned the sport in less than a year. He taught my bro about golf and he is getting very good at it. He started learning from a professional about over a month ago. And now, he is playing together my dad and his colleagues. Is'nt that amazing? Well, as for me, I had the least interest for the sport. That was about a week ago. Now, I'm starting to learn the basics.

My dad told me about the benefits of golf. He said that when I become a professional golf can actually help me in my work. "For example", I remember him saying, "the supervisor of the company that you're working for is good at the sport and when he reviews your profile, he learns that you know how to play golf, then you can play with him and eventually, do what you want." You know what he means, don't you?

Golf is the most expensive sport. Just the materials itself cost about more than 10k. And practicing on the driving range for even less than an hour wouldn't cost less than Php200.
Both of my hands are really hurting right now. They're having blisters. The handles of the clubs are made of rubber and even if you're wearing gloves, it still doesn't help. You need to firmly grip the handle to have better control of the club. If the grip is not hard enough, either the ball will not be hit properly or the club will be the one which flies nicely.

Unlike any other sport, golf is so strict in its formation. You have to be flawless when you take a swing. The shoulders and then the hips will be the one working. The hands are just for handling the club. After taking a hit, the body should also show a nice look, just like how a professional does. Eyes should always be on the ball. But the most important basic element in golf is the swing. Bad swing results to a bad ball. Even if there is no power exerted by the arms, as long as the shoulder's and the hip's swing are very well coordinated, the ball will fly nicely.

Golf is a good sport. It takes discipline, patience, gracefulness and complete focus to master the game.

I may still not be not good at it but.....

I'm getting there.....

5 Days in Zamboanga

We left Cebu at 1:30 pm on Thursday, June 7, and arrived at around 2:30 in Zambo. I expected something fascinating if arrive there but nothing surprised me. Instead, the matter that surprised me was Zambo's simplicity. Their airport wasn't air-conditioned, the strollers were'nt working and the workers (the people who are supposed to assist the passengers with their carriage) were'nt at all being helpful. Is that simplicity? What do you call it, then?
My dad fetched us immediately together with his men. He arranged a hotel reservation for the family. But before that, we had lunch at KFC. It was about 3pm. And then we went to dad's office. after seeing the place, my mom decided that we'd rather stay there and spend the whole vacation than to waste the money on some fancy hotel. We all agreed.
The next day, we went to Barter, a place were people can buy some of Zambo's delicacies, I don't know if it were but the place sure sucks. Forgive the language.
Zambo has really nothing to show off. Actually, the place that we set foot on has really nothing to show off. It was like Colon Street, only bigger. The whole place was a mess. The streets were tight. There were crowds everywhere you look and motorcycles and tricycles were surrounding the streets. And there were no traffic lights in sight.
The positives are way lesser compared to the negatives.
The church (or fort) was amazing. I've never seen anything like it. I forgot the name because it was so long. I'll ask papy next time. There was this place called the Boulevard. It was a very romantic location. It was beside the sea, full of little benches, and a lot of balots! And probably penoys (hehehe). Isn't that nice?
Hmmm.... have I forgotten anything more? hmmmm....
Anyway...
We left Zambo on Tuesday at around 2:30. I was sick! I had this very stupid stomacache, just perfect timing...
I think I’d also post my vacation in Davao and Bicol…. Hmmmm… That was ages ago… but who cares?

i luv this joke

The Perfect Husband

Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cell phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker- function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen.
MAN: "Hello"
WOMAN: "Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?"
MAN: "Yes."
WOMAN: "I'm at the mall now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only $1,000. Is it OK if I buy it?"
MAN: "Sure, go ahead if you like it that much."
WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the new 2007 models. I saw one I really liked."
MAN: "How much?"
WOMAN: "$65,000."
MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."
WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing. The house we wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking $950,000."
MAN: "Well, then go ahead and give them an offer, but just offer $900,000."
WOMAN: "OK. I'll see you later! I love you!"
MAN: "Bye, I love you, too."
The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are looking at him in astonishment.

Then he smiles and asks: "Anyone know whose phone this is?"

Shout to The Lord
Words and Music by Darlene Zschech

My Jesus, my Savior, Lord, there is none like You;All of my days I want to praise the wonders of Your mighty love.My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength;Let ev'ry breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.
Chorus
Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us singPower and Majesty, praise to the King;Mountains bow down and the seas will roarAt the sound of Your name.I sing for joy at the work of your hands,Forever I'll love You, forever I'll standNothing compares to the promise I have in You.
repeat
Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us singPower and Majesty, praise to the King;Mountains bow down and the seas will roarAt the sound of Your name.I sing for joy at the work of your hands,Forever I'll love You, forever I'll standNothing compares to the promise I have in You.

Suddenly. . . .

My father had arrived last Friday from Manila at 1700 hrs. We ate dinner and waited for Saturday to come.
Dad was supposed to arrive on Saturday but insisted to come on Friday because my sister was going for the gold in a singing contest to be held in ABS-CBN on the program Sabado Na Game Na!. My sister didn't win but my dad was there and us to support her.
My mom eagerly wanted to go to Simala in Sibunga because of the miracles that happened there. The sudden plan was arranged Saturday night. We took off at about 1100 hrs on Sunday and travelled over two hours to Carcar. We stopped there to grab some lunch and then proceeded. We arrived in Simala at around 1500 hrs. We went straight to the miraculous Virgin; prayed, and offered our petitions. We were one of the last people to pray to the Virgin since the holy mass was about to start. Lucky?
The mass ended at around 1640 hrs. It was quite a long mass since there held a matrimony rights. Matrimony rights between Jesus (groom) and frater Walbert (spouse). It was a very long process but was very overwhelming. Overwhelming because I witnessed a man who was very dedicated to Jesus that he sacrificed his own freedom just to be of His service. After the mass, we lighted some candles and went off.
My folks decided that we sleep overnight to a resort or something. We went to Alcoy. Dad decided that we meet an old friend of his. It was my second time to met the person; the first was when we were stranded one time in Tinko Beach. We had our hydrographic suvey there. Tito John took us to place called Bodo's Bamboo Bar; Triple B Resort. It was near from his house. The place was great. It had an admirable view of the sea. It also had teriffic ammenities. They had a swimming pool, table tennis court, billiard hall, chess table, darts, and their workers were hot. hahahah
We slept at around 0100 hrs, woke up at 0800 hrs and suddenly.... my mom old us that we head to Negros. Before that, we were invited to Tito John's place to have breakfast. After which, we went straight to Santander, took a barge and arrived in Negros at around 1300 hrs. We went there to light some candles for our dear Lolo Estoy, my late granddad. He had lunch a the mercado, relaxed a little bit at the house and went directly to Tanjay to buy bodbod. It was a 30-min trip from home (San Jose). After that, we went to Tampi, rode a barge going to Cebu and went home. We arrived at exactly 2130 hrs.
WOW! What a ride! Everything was so sudden that in a blink of an eye, I'm here now and posting all the highlights from that trip. We went town hopping and island hopping. That experience was, for me, still unfathomable. It was just so quick. And that feeling was wonderful. It's so nice when you go for something unplanned. You know that you haven't planned it... but one person does...God... He led us the way..... Peace! I'm out!

J0en'S 18th

this post should have been made 3 days earlier. but i was attacked by some sort of disease.... uhmmm.... what do you call it? LAZYphemircshuyiac?... i dunno... i forgot... naah.. my sister's been crazy doing all her project this week... ohh, lemme correct that...projects.. her projects...

anyway. this post is about how i very much appreciated joan's 18th birthday party. joan has been a good friend. she had never been angry... well, actually, i've never seen her getting angry... she has good friends. very witty. very clever. clever, in a sense that she knows how to react on things.

what more do i applaud about joen? well, here are some views...
  • she is very good good in computers
  • she has a mature voice (for a little girl...if u know whait i mean...hahaha)... and i like that
  • she's cute.... but her best friend is WAY cuter (get it?)
  • she has muscles... really!... her skin is hard... hahaha
  • she lost many cellphones and she buys again another phone the next day or two...
  • what more? uhmmmm...
  • she...uhmmm... she's persistent in her studies
  • she's God-fearing! that's the attitude that i like very much about her
  • nothing more to say..

joen's debut last friday, 5/19/07, was very cool! she had this apple green and orange theme. i was kinda sceptical about what i will see... but it was good. there was a nice finesse. and the atmosphere was awesome... her family, classmates, and friends were there for her. and the food? i couldn't say anything more...

the program was also amazing... especially the intermission part... when joey and the gang did all sorts of hilarious things up front... that made the night...

and have i already mentioned the girls? what about them? well, there is only one thing that i can say... the girls, especially the CE girls, were breathtakingly gorgeous, alluring and just simply splendid that night... actually, i've known from the start that our girl friends are bewitching but i didn't know that with just a little additions, wonderful additions, they can be sooooooo angelic... just beautiful... yeah... they are...

and she has a very ravishing cousin!!! and all eyes,, all boys' eyes actually, were on her.

SAVE YOURSELF!

"Then I will say to myself, Lucky man! You have all the good things you need for many years. Take life easy, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!" But God said to him, "You fool! This very night you wil have to give up your life; then who will get all these things you have kept for yourself?" Luke 12: 19-20

Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God. Heb 9: 27

All of us have been sinful; even our best actions are filthy through and through. Because of our sins we are like leaves that wither and are blown by the wind. Is 64: 6

Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear His voice and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned. Jn 5: 28-29

As the scriptures say: "There is no one who is righteous, no one who is wise or who worships God." Ro 3: 10

And I saw the dead, great and small alike, standing before the throne. Books were opened, and then another book was opened, the book of the living. The dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. Rev 20: 12

Whatever is hidden away will be brought out into the open, and whatever is covered up will be uncovered. Mk 4:22

You can be sure that on Judgment Day you will have to give acount of every useless word that you have ever spoken. Mt 12: 36

But now I tell you: anyone who looks at a woman and wants to possess her is guilty of committing adultery with her in his heart. Mt 5: 28

So do not be afraid of people. whatever is now covered will be uncovered, and every secret will be made known. Mt 10: 26

Do not decieve yourselves; no one makes a fool out of God. You will reap exactly what you plant. Gal 6: 7

Those who did not have their name written in the book of the living were thrown into the lake of fire. Rev 20: 15

IS THIS THE LIFE THAT YOU ARE LIVING NOW?

The Lord is not slow to do what He has promised, as some think. Instead, He is patient with you, because He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins. 2 Pt 3: 9

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-- you and your family. Ac 16: 31

The Lord says, " Now, let's settle the matter. You are stained red with sin, but I will wash you as clean as snow. Although your stains are deep red, you will be as white as wool." Is 1: 18

For what is life? To me, it is Christ. Death, then, will bring more. Phil 1: 21

How painful it is to the Lord when one of his people dies! Ps 116: 15

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN!

For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not die but have eternal life. Jn 3: 16

If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from death, you will be saved. Ro 10: 9

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me." Jn 14: 16

So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we reap the harvest. Gal 6: 9

Playoffs 2007

As of 3:40 PM this day, the results are as follows:
  • Utah Jazz won the series today over the Golden State Warriors;4-1
  • Spurs and Suns tie it up at 2 games apiece
  • Pistons almost won it at home but the Bulls denied them in Game 5 of the series; 3-2
  • The Cavaliers look to close the series out at home tomorrow at home over the Nets; 3-1

The playoffs are really getting exciting; from round 1 up until the recent results.

The 8th seeded Warriors beat the top seeded Mavericks in round 1. Now, that was oh too unexpecting. The number 1 team in the NBA got beat by an 8th seeded, a very surprising feat.

Lakers were pounded by the fast paced Suns. I like both teams so if either won, it's really okay.

The Nuggets and the Raptors were the only team that held ground. They almost beat the top teams of their division: Spurs and Nets respectively.

Rockets became dumb. They had almost won Game 7 over the Jazz if it weren't for their stupidity. They had 7 seconds to maybe win or tie the game by causing a foul. But they didn't do it until 1+ second was left. How stupid. I liked Tmac. He's my idol.

The 2006 NBA champions, Heat, was tramped by the Bulls. A very tragic, yet expected event. The Heat was troubled by injuries. Both their superstars got injured before the playoffs. And they weren't 100% on their game. Sad...

Pistons sweeped the Magic. Not surprising.

The Cavaliers also sweeped the Wizards. Of course, Arenas was injured. It was, sort of, unfair for the Wizards.

Nowitzki became the first European to win an MVP award. It was announced, no, I saw the announcement during game 3 of Jazz and Warriors.

Everything's doing well, except for the suspension given to Stoudemire and Diaw of the Suns. Horry did the bad thing and yet two of the Suns' players gets a suspension. Not mentioning that Amare is their leading rebounder and scorer, and Boris is his substitute. SO UNFAIR! Hold your ground Suns! You can do it! Kick the Spurs' butts!
